NEW CLAIM PROCEDURES\u00a0<\/strong>BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are a few tips we can offer to make your tire reimbursement claim progress as smoothly as possible. First, add the\u00a0MOA ROADSIDE PROGRAM<\/a> as a contact in your phone. Follow the link and quickly add us as a contact. The profile will include links to the submission form, phone numbers for additional assistance, email addresses for extra help, along with tips and tricks to make things easier. It’s a timesaver from the dealership or the side of the road.<\/p>\n\n

Next, always complete the submission form below as soon as possible, but at least within seven days from the date of loss. There will be fewer surprises if we can communicate about your claim early in the process. Provide as much information as possible when completing the online form. A standard claim with no questionable information can be paid quickly.<\/p>\n\n

The covered member will be reimbursed by check. Our program IS NOT designed to pay the dealership or service center that repairs your tire. You should pay for the repair work and expect reimbursement. If reimbursement to the member is not an option, please call or email for alternate solutions, but remember it changes the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.<\/p>\n\n

TERMS AND CONDITIONS<\/h2>\n\n

BMW MOA Tire Hazard Protection plans provide for the repair or replacement of the vehicle’s tires, which, during the term of the Agreement, become unserviceable due to a road hazard covered under this contract. Unserviceable means that the tire has been punctured or otherwise damaged to the extent that it is unsafe. Tire damage that is cosmetic in nature and that does not render the tire unserviceable is specifically excluded. A road hazard is a condition on a public roadway that should not exist there, such as potholes, nails, glass, or other road debris.<\/p>\n\n

You will be reimbursed for the reasonable costs you incur to replace a tire up to $400 per tire (inclusive of mounting, balancing, and taxes), for a maximum of two tires in any 12-month period, only if a tire covered by this Agreement becomes unrepairable due to damage caused by a road hazard. This coverage is valid through the tread life of a tire (for motorcycles, 3\/32″ or less is excluded), and replacement will be made with a tire of like kind and quality to the original tire. Damage from natural debris on unpaved roads is not considered a road hazard and does not qualify for replacement (ie, damage caused by rocks, roots, stumps, sticks, etc., while off-road riding is not covered.) A 30-day waiting period applies to new policyholders and claims for reimbursement occurring in the first 30 days of a new policy will not be honored. Existing or renewing policies are not subject to a waiting period.<\/p>\n\n

The following information is required to validate a claim and receive reimbursement:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. Proof of loss by submitting a complete claim form within seven days of the date of loss. Claim forms may be submitted online, by calling the MOA membership team at (864) 438-0962 or emailing tireclaims@bmwmoa.org. The MOA in its sole discretion, may determine the amount and type and of information necessary to validate a claim.<\/li>\n\n
  2. A completed receipt, repair order or other documentation to verify purchase of a replacement tire and justify any costs claimed for reimbursement. The receipt or repair order must show line item detail of costs claimed on the reimbursement.<\/li>\n\n
  3. A brief narrative of the damage to the tire, what caused the damage and the method of repair.<\/li>\n\n
  4. Proof or documentation of the damage, including photographs of the damage, debris, etc.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n
  5. Tread depth measurement to validate the remaining life of the damaged tires (damaged tire must have a minimum of 3\/32″ of tread depth to qualify for replacement)<\/li>\n\n
  6. Access to the service center to independently verify any information in the claim<\/li>\n\n
  7. Retention of the damaged tire for inspection\u00a0by the MOA to validate claims.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
