It\u2019s an excuse to get out on the bike. I took my wife to work in the car, came home, geared up. I held onto it for a long time until I found the perfect jacket for it.<\/I><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I went to a place in Ashland, they do consignments so I might take the FTR there. They posted a 1976 Monza blue R 90\/6 for $4,200 on Craigslist. High price just based on the photos, but I wanted to see it. White Krauser cases, which was kind of cool, I\u2019ve never seen those before. They put some time and money into it, the guy said they had to have the tank cleaned and relined. Looks like it has Slash 7 wheels (snowflakes) on it, with dual disc brakes up front. Maybe a late transition model or something. Anyway\u2014nice guy running the place, but the bike is overpriced by about $1,000 for its condition. I thought about offering my FTR for it, plus $5,000 from them. That R 90\/6 is a good restoration project and maybe a future sidecar rig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From there, I went to a Wawa way out in Henrico County\u2014it\u2019s actually just over the border into Goochland County, which is why they can have E0 gas. Then to the post office on the other side of my county and dinner with my folks. Just another excuse to ride. I also need to do a service and the EME kit (alternator, ignition, coils, etc.) in there. And fork seals.
