SUMMARY:India by Motorcycle
DESCRIPTION:In February 2024, 13 members of the BMW Club of Northern California (and five partners) joined the inaugural run of this adventure. It was a resounding success, and due to that success, the trip is back starting at the end of January 2027!This trip of a lifetime is being organized by a local who grew up riding these roads. The ride around India will cover 4,000 miles, cross six states and last 30 days! This is not a commercial tour nor an official club sanctioned event but organized through club member, Ravi Verma, organized to give fellow riders an authentic and affordable way to experience India. From tiger safaris through jungle roads to the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal and relaxing on the sun-soaked beaches of Goa to exploring the cool, lush hills of the Western Ghats, this trip offers a little of everything. You’ll ride through storybook towns like Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and even venture into the desert on camelback. You’ll be riding Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles, alternating between riding days and rest days to soak in the local culture, scenery, and cuisine. Over the course of a month, you’ll travel like locals, not tourists—so leave your watch at home and let India’s rhythm guide you.The cost includes:** Accommodations in comfortable hotels** Daily breakfast and dinner** A Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle** Fuel** Backup vehicle to carry luggage** On-call mechanic support** Local support riders to assist with navigation and logisticsThe cost doesn’t include sightseeing entrance fees, personal items or alcoholic beverages. For those bringing a non-riding partner, we’ll have an air-conditioned minivan following the tour for a more relaxed experience. If India has ever been on your bucket list, this is your chance to experience it the way it was meant to be seen—by motorcycle. If you are interested, contact Ravi by email (raviverma@indiabymotorcycle) or phone (408-859-2284).
